PageEcho support
A few answers to help you get back to your words.
How do I add text?
In Library, choose Scan text to use your camera, or choose a photo. Check and edit the recognized text before saving it. You can also record audio or import a clip where on-device transcription is supported.
Camera or microphone access is off
The first time you use scanning or recording, iOS asks for permission. If you previously declined, tap Open Settings in PageEcho or go to Settings → Apps → PageEcho and enable the relevant permission. You can also import a photo or clip instead.
Which voice will read my text?
Automatic chooses an available Apple voice for the language, preferring higher-quality installed voices. In Settings, select Reading voice to preview and choose voices. More voices can be installed under iOS Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices; the setting name may vary with iOS. Siri’s voice is not directly available to PageEcho as a selectable reading voice.
Can I read mixed-language text?
PageEcho can switch between available voices in mixed-language text. Make sure a voice for each language is installed. Very short or ambiguous phrases may use the source language you selected.
How do I save or arrange sentences?
Use the actions on an individual sentence card to save or delete it. Choose rearrange to change the reading order. Saved brings together your words, sentences and notes; Review helps you return to them.
Why are explanations or pronunciation checks unavailable?
Apple Intelligence explanations require iOS 26 or later, compatible hardware and Apple Intelligence enabled. Transcription and pronunciation checking also require on-device support for the chosen language. A voice or language model may need to be downloaded first. You can still read, save and add your own learning notes.
How do I export or delete my material?
Use Export in Settings to create a copy you can share. Delete saved items, sentences or sources from their respective screens. Exported copies and device backups must be managed separately.
